Mey has been one of the leading trans journalists in Queer Women’s Media for over eight years. For three of those years she guided the transgender content at the GLAAD Award-winning website Autostraddle.com as the site’s Trans Editor, a position she originated. She is known for queer comics column “Drawn to Comics,” her writing on trans and Latinx representation especially in all-ages media and comics, and for her writing on body positivity and sex. Much of her work in recent years has been as an entertainment reporter and cultural critic.
